Chinese New Year just around the corner, I was visited Swee Bee Cafe by Baker Dave to eat some food and grab some pineapple tarts for my relatives and friends. This café is named in honour of Baker Dave’s mum, who is known among many of her friends, relatives and family members, for making delicious buttery and crumbly pineapple tarts using recipes which had been handed down through generations.
As a child, Baker Dave proudly helped his mum bake these tarts. Through baking, she taught him the importance of dedication, discipline and precision, values that Baker Dave dearly holds on to this day. Thus, he crafts his cakes, desserts and dishes precisely as they are meant to be, so that customers may experience the full benefits of these delicacies with each bite.
The cafe also serves selection of food, beverages and dessert to customers. I have tried out some of the foods includes eggs, sandwiches, toast, nasi lemak, curry chicken rice, pasta, soup, waffles and kuih-muih as well. I has ordered half boiled eggs, toast, nasi lemak and the belgian waffles waffles with add on ice-cream to try it out with my daughter. The foods there are delicious and yummy!
We enjoy eating at the cafe environment with a lot of traditional and new year decoration. The staff there are friendly. The boss is very nice to all of us. It is such a good place to hang out with your family and friends while enjoying the good food.
