Noah Yap, or "Ipman" in the movie said in the previous two installation his character was always heartbroken, but this time he was surrounded by girlfriends.

One of the highlights of "Ah Boys to Men 4" is the addition of a female character from Hong Kong Apple Chan, play as a lieutenant in the Armour unit. Apple Chan said she comes from a family of Thai Boxing enthusiasts, which has influenced her to love these extreme sports since young. She said that her foundation in martial arts might be a great help but she has zero experience in military.
